Sorry I haven’t made any posts recently but I didn’t wear any nail polish this weekend and that kind of effects my ability to make a blog post about nails
So I created another little tutorial that I painted on a piece of paper – when I was painting the flowers I was doing it sideways so that’s my excuse why the last rose looks oddly lopsided.
I started with two coats of Sally Hansen – Mint Sorbet as my base coat. I then used OPI – Pink Friday and globbed a circle onto the nail, the more misshapen it is the more realistic. Using Essie – Fiji I started adding the highlighted part of the petals. Then using China Glaze – Escaping Reality I added depth to the petals, using this darker pink is like adding a “shadow” to the petals.
I tried to demonstrate how I shape my leaves, using the China Glaze – Def Defying to create a leaf shape and then I added more detail with the darker green OPI – Don’t Mess With OPI and white, Essie – Blanc (it doesn’t show up on the paper).
Hope you all like them!
