Hi everyone! Today I did some nail art inspired by the Arizona Green Tea – Red Apple.
I started off with a white base using Essie – Blanc.
Using the makeup sponge gradient method I used China Glaze – Igniting Love, China Glaze – Escaping Reality, and Essie Turquoise and Caicos. Make sure to apply very thin coats of paint to the sponge – you want the colors to dry almost instantly once pressed to the nail. I applied four coats to get the look I wanted. I then topped it off with a coat of Essie – Waltz to tone down the bright colors and help blend them more.
You can use a nail art brush dipped in acetone to clean up around your cuticles.
Using brushes from my MASH nail art set I used OPI – Lincoln Park After Dark for the branches. Then I used China Glaze – Sugar High for the flower blossoms – don’t worry about making them look perfect.
I went back over a few of the blossoms with Lincoln Park After Dark to add a dark center giving it some more dimension.
I topped it off with Butter London – Hardwear.
